EPISODE 107 SHOW NOTES

I had the pleasure of having a dear friend and one of my favorite people, Angel Lyn, as a guest on today’s episode. Angel has impacted my life greatly, and she’s helped me step out of my shame and guilt story, and instead, into a place of love. I have no doubt her story will change the way you think when it comes to your truth, and your life, and especially as you begin allowing your soul to guide you.

Angel Lyn is a life coach, soul mentor, and an MSW (Master of Social Work). She delights in guiding women and men to connecting deeply within themselves, and connecting their minds, bodies, hearts, and spirits with the Divine Source of Creation. She believes the answers of truth, light and love will show up when we are connected to our glorious selves; peace, joy, and freedom are absolutely possible!

In today’s episode, we’re talking all about:

  • Angel’s story of getting into social work with her plans of becoming a therapist, but quickly realizing she wasn’t aligned with how the field operated and “helped” people
  • Her journey of wandering for a few years, and then deciding to become a life coach and ‘soul mentor’, all while being a Mom and homeschooling her 5 sons
  • How Angel went through a big deconstruction of her identity 1 year ago, and what it now looks like to live her most peaceful life in her ‘zone of genius’
  • Learning to let go of everything our earthly life has programmed us to think, and how we can be reborn again (like the metamorphosis of a caterpillar becoming a butterfly)
  • Her visualization of seeing God outside of the ‘hamster wheel’ she was stuck on, and understanding she needed a paradigm shift
  • Humbling encounters she experienced after going through a divorce, but always believing God would take care of her and her sons
  • Learning that we have two selves that live inside of us, and how we can separate the two in order to actually discern and recognize God

Learning to lean into God, and allowing your soul to guide you into life-changing work.

Angel has had quite the journey over the last 18 years, and I don’t think she could have ever pictured her life to be like it is now. She was so anxious to be a therapist and hit the ground running when she first came into the field, but she knew she couldn’t treat all of her patients in the exact same way, and prescribe the same antidepressant. Angel didn’t want to be a part of the problem that was creating dependency; she wanted to “liberate the captives”, and do life-changing work with them, and not have them continue relying on her and other gurus for continuous support.

I cherished this conversation with Angel; we covered so much in our time together, and the life-changing stories she has experienced are just incredible. Angel truly believes that finding and connecting with your soul will not lead you astray, but instead guide you to your truth, light, and love. I can’t wait to hear your thoughts after you listen to this episode, and how you’re going to start allowing your soul guide you in your own life. I know you will want to connect with Angel further, and learn more about the powerful work she is doing!
